It is this city that ties the thread back to so many of the Italian American immigrants. After just one day here you can see 1970’s American Italian culture and where it came from. And the food is great.

Was back in Firenze for a few days to see some friends and pick up some Italian Olive Oil. Firenze is always a great way to spend a few days just for the food and walking the city streets.

While in Japan took the Shinkansen from Tokyo over to Kyoto for a 3 day visit. Kyoto feels more traditional (and touristy) than Tokyo and was a very interesting place to spend some time. Very well put together.

Took a trip to Japan and spent 4 nights in Tokyo after not having been back for about 18 year. What a city.

Went to see the great Steve Hackett play the music of old Genesis in Atlanta. Nobody plays this music anymore and to see it played by one of the guys who wrote it is even better.

Back in Athens for a night before flying back to the USA.

Went to see Swedish Metal band “Avatar” in Atlanta. Super unique show

Even though New York is bonkers, it still has great views and food. When you’re up high over the city you really have an appreciation of seeing humanity all squeezed into what is essentially a giant trap if things ever get real, real fast.

NYC has become a bit dystopian with the smell of synthetic weed everywhere, a pandemic of homelessness, and weird views from the hotel window.

Drove across the Rio Cauca and way up into the mountains to visit Jerico for local coffee, pastelitos, and parapendio at just under 8,000 feet. Colombia is full of local gems.

A few days at a Finca between Fredonia and the Rio Cauca up in the Colombia Andes mountains. While USA was being buried in snow and cold weather we were cozy in 78 and sunny. Not a bad way to spend Christmas.

Drove over to El Penol to climb to the top and see a bit around Guatape’. Amazing views and history here related to Pablo Escobar’s life.

While in Medellin we headed up into what is known as Commune 13, which is the former stomping grounds of the most dangerous drug lords in perhaps all of South America.

Back in New York City for a client meeting, this time saying in lower Manhattan near Wall Street.

Headed up to Firenze to see some friends and walk the streets again. Many foreigners like Firenze because its a very easy city to navigate, doesn’t have the overwhelming nature and grit of Rome, and the Tuscan food is outrageously good.
